Daily Self-Portraits: Project 365

One evening, while perusing through flickr, I stumbled on a group (365days) with a really cool concept: Shoot one self-portrait of yourself every day for a year. So here I am, in all of my self-edited glory. Outtakes of my daily shots, along with more commentary can be found on my blog: "TheDailyTim". Enjoy, and I welcome your comments...
Well...that's what I had intended. but a few unforeseen things took place. Firstly, I'm a perfectionist and I don't want to post any photos until I've had a chance to edit them on the computer so that they look their best. The images on my website are a reflection of me and my work, and consequently, I'm pretty picky about what I allow to be seen by the public. And then there's my obsessive-compulsive side that tells me that unless I have EVERY day represented, that the gallery and work is incomplete and not worth showing. The blog that was originally mentioned has not been updated for lack of time (I'm working 3 jobs right now) and I just don't like doing things half-baked. One of my kids dropped my camera in March and $350 and three weeks later, I got my camera back. I had been faithful to shoot an image of myself every day up until that point, but once the daily discipline was broken, it's hard to get back into the habit. But now, on my birthday, and with the year more than half over, I thought I'd at least allow those of you who are interested, a window into my year so far. So with apologies for its incompleteness, "here is me"... or "here am I"... or well, you get the idea. I look forward to your comments, critiques, and (hopefully) some compliments! (Oh, and for those of you who look at meta-data or scrutinize over the date each photo was taken, I've been going by the rule of a day being from when I wake up until I go to bed, not necessarily midnight to midnight.)

Hello and welcome to the new website. Thanks so much for your patience in waiting for all of these images to upload. It is finally complete! ! I have photographed roughly 5,000 images of the dancers this past semester, 1,000 of which have made it to this on-line gallery. (All 5,000 are simply too many to upload into an on-line gallery.) If you are interested in seeing ALL of the images of a particular dancer or dancers, I welcome you to call me (at 434-525-3042) and set up a time to come and view them at my home office in Forest, Virginia where we can sit down together and go through each class that your dancer was in and make selections for you to keep. A DVD slideshow will also be available again this year for $20.00 which will contain separate slideshow highlights of each class. Simply send a check or money order to the address on my homepage and request the DVD. Don't forget to include $4.00 if you'd like it to be mailed to you, or you can pick it up at my home or Assemblé! Dance Studios. Thanks for the privilege of capturing these moments with your dancers.
